Music
Alex has spent years writing, recording and performing original music. Black Lantern is the current project; 5 Step Drop is the earlier Chicago hard-rock chapter with a released EP, notable local venues and national-act bills.

Black Lantern is Alex's current heavy-rock project. Before that, 5 Step Drop built a grassroots Chicago following, released a four-song EP and shared stages with national acts including Dope and Soil.
Alex also wrote and recorded the solo original “Footprints in my Soul” for Tracy; it became the first-dance song at their wedding.
Explore the MusicOutside the office
RockNLoan leaves room for the things that make a personal brand personal — music, Wisconsin football, scuba, travel, Chicago and a very good dog named Hooch.
Below the surface
Alex is a Rescue Diver pursuing Divemaster training. This shark dive in the Bahamas is a glimpse at the side of life that happens far away from loan files, stages and stadiums.

Proud dog dad to Hooch, who occasionally steals the spotlight.
Guitarist, songwriter and live performer with current and past original projects.
Scuba, travel and the occasional close encounter with a shark keep life interesting outside the office.
